Florida's sports betting situation is unusual: the Seminole Tribe's Hard Rock Bet is the only legal state-regulated sportsbook in Florida following the compact approved in 2021, after years of legal battles. FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM do not have active sportsbook licenses in Florida.
This makes prediction markets particularly valuable for Florida residents who want to trade on sports outcomes but cannot access mainstream national sportsbooks. CFTC-regulated prediction market platforms are available to Florida residents statewide.

FanDuel Predicts — FanDuel Predicts offers sports contracts in Florida specifically because FanDuel does not hold a state sportsbook license there (Hard Rock Bet has the Seminole compact exclusivity). This means Florida is one of FanDuel's key prediction market sports states.
