The 2026 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 23 in Pittsburgh. Prediction markets opened first-round contracts in February and pricing has tightened sharply over the past two weeks as pro days, medicals, and pre-draft trades have reshaped the board.

The No. 1 Pick

Tennessee holds the top selection. Kalshi has the No. 1 pick contract pricing as follows:

• Quarterback selected: 88 cents (88% implied)
• Non-QB selected: 12 cents

If a QB goes first, the named contract market is overwhelmingly one player — pricing him near 80 cents to be the No. 1 overall pick. The remaining 8 cents is split across two other QB prospects who could rise on a pre-draft trade.

Quarterback Markets

The most active draft contract every year is "first QB selected." This year's market is unusually concentrated:

• Top QB prospect: ~82 cents
• Second QB: ~14 cents
• Field (any other QB): ~4 cents

Compare that to recent drafts where the first-QB market often traded 50/50 between two prospects deep into draft week. The 2026 cycle is one of the most lopsided in recent memory.

Position Group Markets

Kalshi and Polymarket both list contracts on positional outcomes:

• First non-QB selected: top edge rusher pricing around 38 cents, top offensive tackle around 28 cents
• First wide receiver selected: tight three-way market between 25–35 cents each
• Number of QBs in round one: over 4.5 trading at 62 cents

Trade Markets

The most volatile contracts are pre-draft trade markets — "Will Team X trade up into the top 10?" These reprice every time a beat reporter posts. If you have an information edge here, this is where prediction markets reward it most.

Where to Trade NFL Draft Contracts

• Kalshi — deepest book, every named prospect listed, lowest fees
• Polymarket US — strong QB and No. 1 pick markets, slightly wider on positional contracts
• DraftKings Predictions — headline markets only (No. 1 pick, first QB)
• FanDuel Predicts — limited coverage, mostly position-group markets

How to Approach Draft Markets

1. Read the room before the room reads you. Beat reporter signals (Schefter, Rapoport, Pelissero) move markets within seconds. If you are not watching live, you are trading stale prices.
2. Watch the trade markets, not just the player markets. A team trading up reshuffles the entire board.
3. Set a draft-night bankroll. It is easy to chase a missed pick. Decide your total risk before round one starts.
4. Most contracts settle live. No-1-pick contracts resolve within minutes of the commissioner walking to the podium. Plan exits accordingly.
